Inspiring creativity and celebrating talent through The 1666 Fund

Music, drama and the arts are a vibrant part of life at Sir Thomas Rich’s School, giving pupils opportunities to develop their talents, express their creativity and build confidence beyond the classroom.

Throughout the year, our pupils showcase their abilities through a varied programme of concerts and theatrical productions, including our popular Jazz Night concert. In February 2027, we are particularly excited to present The Wizard of Oz, bringing together pupils from across the school for what promises to be a fantastic production.

These experiences are an important part of school life, but staging high-quality performances and providing the resources pupils need comes at a considerable cost. The 1666 Fund helps us deliver opportunities that would not otherwise be possible through government funding alone.

Donations to The 1666 Fund help us provide:

  • Musical instruments and equipment: Purchasing and maintaining instruments, sound systems and essential resources for rehearsals and performances.
  • School productions: Supporting the costs of staging productions such as The Wizard of Oz, including costumes, scenery, props, lighting and technical equipment.
  • Concerts and performances: Helping fund the equipment, resources and technical requirements for our concerts and musical performances throughout the year.
  • Drama and arts resources: Providing materials and equipment that enable pupils to explore their creativity and develop their skills.

Your Support Makes the Difference

Every donation to The 1666 Fund helps us provide the equipment, resources and opportunities that bring music, drama and the arts to life at Sir Thomas Rich’s School.

Help us continue to inspire creativity and celebrate the talents of our pupils.
